MembershipMembership is decided by the General Assembly of the network which is held annually in September in Europe or in November in Latin America and the Carribean. The application is discussed beforehand by the Follow-up committee which old a meeting about half a year before the GA.
To become a member of the Magalh„es Network, candidate universities should be proposed by a†current member†university. The following documentation should be supplied to the Follow-up†committee of the network:
- Three (3) support letters from member universities in at least two (2) different countries on†the opposite side†of the Atlantic to where the candidate university is located.
- Letter of Motivation from the candidate university.
- Statement of Willingness from the candidate university to comply with Magalh„es/SMILE procedures by the signature of the Membership Agreement.
- Data demonstrating the level of international cooperation of the candidate university, in†particular the volume of exchange with Magalh„es members.
The documents should be sent to the President of the network and to the administrative officer Christina Grossmann (firstname.lastname@example.org).
